He: Why can you not stay home and be safe?
Malala: Because I need to go to school. I cannot get an education without attending classes.
He: You don't need any education. Doesn't your father take good care of you?
Malala: Yes, he does, but what does that have to do with studies?
He: If you already have what you need, why do you need to study? Why do you need to go against society?
Malala: I have whatever I need, but my father will not be able to support me all my life.
He: Well, in any case, once you are married, it is your in-laws' duty to support you.
Malala: So you mean that I need to be under someone's care all through my life because I am not worthy of taking care of myself financially?
He: Well, that is how it has always been.
Malala: But, I know I am worthy enough.
He: How can you be so sure?
Malala: Just the way that boys are believed to be worthy and deserving of education.
He: You cannot compare the two.
Malala: Why not? God made them both.
He: Yes he did, but that is not the point.
Malala: Do you seriously think God is unfair and unequal? Do you think he wanted inequality between boys and girls?
He: No, he is not unfair.
Malala: But that is precisely what you feel. That is why you stop girls from studying. You are going against God's will.
Do you not want your nation to progress? For everyone to be healthy? Wouldn't life be much easier for you if you had someone to help you out in everyday life, in a way that really matters? That is what educating girls can do.
