Masha is observing her mom prepare the batter for Appam. After making the batter, mom adds a pinch of yeast and sugar to it and leaves it in a warm place. After some hours Masha finds the batter risen and has a sour smell too.

A) How did the batter rise?
B) What would have happened if the batter was left in the refrigerator?
C) Why did the batter smell sour?

a) because the yeast has been activated .

b) nothing

c) because of the yeast (as it is a fungi)

Answer:

a) because the yeast added to the batter is a bacteria and it has a property to sour the batter and tastes it better.. in soo many cakes and batters yeast is used.

b) if we leave it in the refrigerator it will be risen and and tastes sour.. because the yeast bacteria multiply it's number in warm condition.

c) because the yeast added to the batter makes the batter sour
