Each Jar would weigh 2 1/4 pound

Formula:

\text{Mean}=\dfrac{\text{sum of all the obervations}}{\text{number of the observations}}

Step 1:

Find total weight by Adding weight of each Jar

1 + 1 1/4  + 2 1/4  + 2 3/4 + 2 3/4 +  3 2/4

= 11 + 10/4

= 11 + 2 + 2/4

= 13 2/4

= 13 1/2

= 27/2

Step 2:

Divide by 6 (number of Jars) to find Mean weight

= (27/2)/6

= 9/4

= 2 1/4

Each Jar would weigh 2 1/4 pound

( Question misses the figure showing weight of each Jar and has been added )
