Let's say we take an apple which is half a kg in Mass and weighs about 5 Newtons. It will always be half a kg in Mass regardless of where you take it but it's weight will depend on gravity of the planet. For example the same apple will weigh 0.81 Newtons on Moon but it will be still half a kg in Mass.
