u = 0.5 m/s
v = 0 m/s ( because ball stops)
t = 0.5 s
a \: = \frac{v - u}{t} \\ a = \frac{0 - 0.5}{0.5} = \frac{ - 0.5}{0.5} = - 1 \: \frac{m}{ {s}^{2} } \\
F = ma
 = 70 \: g \times ( - 1) \: \frac{m}{ {s}^{2} } \\ = 0.07 \: kg \times ( - 1) \frac{m}{ {s}^{2} } \\ = - 0.07 \: newtons
