Mass of a body is doubled.how does its acceleration change under a given force?

Force = mass x acceleration
So if mass is doubled, acceleration will have to be halved so that the force remains the same.

F= 2m x a/2 ( the 2s get cancelled)
= m x a (force remains same as it was before)
