The magnitude of the object’s acceleration is 2 m/s² and the direction is the same as the direction of the force.

Given:

Mass of an object, m = 1 kg

net force ∑F = 2 N

To Find:

The magnitude and direction of the object’s acceleration.

Solution:

We are required to find the magnitude and direction of the object’s acceleration.

We know the force relation is given as

∑F = m×a  ---------(1)

where, the mass of an on=bject, m = 1 kg

The net force, ∑F = 2 N

On substituting the values of ∑F and m in equation(1)

2 = 1×a

a = 2 m/s²

Therefore, The magnitude of the object’s acceleration is 2 m/s² and the direction is the same as the direction of the force.
