given,

Mass of an object = 10 kg

we have,

acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8m/s

but in this problem 10m/s can also be considered

we know that,

weight of object(w) =mg

=10×10

=100N

therefore if Mass of an object is 10 kg then its weight on the earth is 100Newtons

if g=9.8m/s is considered then

w= mg

= 10×9.8

=98N
