Given,

Mass of the object = 6±0.3kg

Volume of the object = 2±0.2m³

To find,

The density of the object

Solution

The upper limit of the mass of the object = 6+0.3 kg

= 6.3kg

The upper limit of the volume of the object = 2+0.2m³

= 2.2m³

We know that density = mass/volume

Thus the upper limit of density = 6.3kg/2.2m³

= 2.86kg/m³

Similarly,

The lower limit of the mass of the object = 6-0.3 kg

= 5.7kg

The lower limit of the volume of the object = 2-0.2m³

= 1.8m³

Again, density = mass/volume

Thus the lower limit of density = 5.7kg/1.8m³

= 3.17kg/m³

Hence, the density of the object of mass 6±0.3kg and volume 2±0.2m³ will be 2.86kg/m³±3.17kg/m³
