Given:-

mass of moon is 7.3 × 10²² kg

radius = \sf 1.74 × 10^6 m

To Find:-

value of acceleration due to gravity on the moon.

Proper explanation:-

distance to the center of mass is the same as the radius: \sf\to 1.74\times 10^6m

\sf\to 17,40,000 m

Finding the acceleration due to gravity on the surface of the moon BY using formulae:-

\sf \boxed g=\dfrac{GM}{r^2}

:\sf \implies g=\dfrac {(1.74×10^6)(7.3×10^{22})}{17400000}

\leadsto \sf {\green {g=1.61ms^{-2}}}

The acceleration due to gravity on the surface of the moon is \sf 1.61 ms^{-2}
