mass of Earth = 5.97 * 10^24= 597* 10^22
mass of moon = 7.35* 10^22
now difference in masses can be done directly to get (597-7.35)* 10^22= 589.65* 10^22kg or 5.8965* 10^24kg

Answer:

Difference of the masses

= 589.65 \times 10^{22}\:kg

Step-by-step explanation:

The mass of the earth = 5.97 \times 10^{24} \:kg

The mass of the moon =7.35 \times 10^{22}\: kg

Difference of the mass = 5.97\times 10^{24}\: kg-7.35\times 10^{22}\:kg

=5.97 \times 10^{2} \times 10^{22} \:kg - 7.35\times 10^{22}\: kg

=597 \times 10^{22}\: kg -7.35 \times 10^{22}\: kg

=(597-7.35)\times 10^{22}\: kg

= 589.65 \times 10^{22}\:kg

Therefore,

Difference of the masses

= 589.65 \times 10^{22}\:kg
