 {Answer :-}

Let us consider the follows,.
Mass of earth = M
Radius of the earth = R
Mass of the moon = m
Radius of moon = r
And 'G' is the universal gravitational constant.

Thus, the gravitational acceleration on the moon surface (g)
= Gm/r^2. ............. (1)

Again we have,
Radius of the earth is four times the radius of the moon.
Thus, R = 4r.
Mass of the earth is 80 times the mass of the moon.
Thus, M = 80m.

Now, the gravitational acceleration on the earth(g) is,
= GM/R^2
= G(80m) / (4r)^2
= G80m / 16r^2
= 80/16 (Gm/r^2)
= 5 (Gm/r^2)
= 5 * gravitational acceleration on the moon. [ from (1)]

So, the acceleration due to gravity on the earth is 5 times than on the moon.

Thus, the gravitational acceleration on the surface of moon
= 9.8/5 m/s^2
= 1.96 m/s^2.

Hence, the acceleration due to gravity on the surface of the moon is 1.96 m/s^2.

Hope this helps,.
