Answer:

Explanation:

I think the answer would be

1:1

This is due to the reason that the same wires of same material have same resistance due to same concentration of free electrons

Hope it helps you.

Given:

Two wires of the same material whose ratio of mass is  m₁:m₂ and the ratio of length are X:Y.

To Find:

Ration their Resistance = R₁/R₂

Solution:

As we know that resistance is directly proportional to the length and inversely proportional to the area.

i.e. R = κ L/A

As we know,

volume = L × A

density × mass =  L × A

m₁/m₂= L₁/L₂  × A₁/A₂

m₁/m₂= X/Y × A₁/A₂

A₁/A₂ =  X/Y × m₂/m₁

The ratio of resistance will be

R₁/R₂= κ₁/κ₂ × L₁/L₂ × A₂/A₁   { both wires of same material ∴ κ₁= κ₂}

R₁/R₂= X/Y × Y/X × m₁/m₂     { from above }

R₁/R₂= m₁/m₂

Hence the ratio of R₁/R₂= m₁/m₂.
