Matching column A with column B :

(i) Solution of solid with liquid - Sugar Solution

• When a solid is dissolved in liquid, it is called a solution of solid with liquid.

• Sugar solution is a solution of sugar (solid) with water (liquid).

(ii) Solution that does not scatter light - True Solution

• A true solution reflects a beam of light passing through it and does not scatter it in different directions.

(iii) Solution in which amount of solute is smaller than solvent - Dilute Solution

• Concentration of a solution depends upon the amount of solute dissolved in the solvent.

• When the amount of solute (solid) is smaller the amount of solvent (liquid), it is called a dilute solution.

(iv) Solution in which more solute can be dissolved - Unsaturated Solution

• If a solvent can dissolve more of a solute, it means the solution is yet to be saturated. That is why such a solution is called an unsaturated solution.

(v) Solution that can hold more amount of solute than they do at room temperature - Supersaturated Solution

• On increasing the temperautre beyond room temperature, a solvent can dissolve more solute than it does at room temperature.

• Such a solution is called a supersaturated solution.
