in mitosis the cell duplicates itself into two daughter cells by even chromosomal number it occurs in somatic (body ) cells but in miosis the cell diveds into two that 46 chromosomes become 24 usually in gametes in mitosis 46 is again replicated into 46 chromosomes thank you

generally mitosis happens in somatic cells and stem cells mitosis has two main steps nuclear division and cytoplasmic division nuclear division has four phases professor metaphase anaphase and telophase
prophase
in metaphase chromosome start to decondense Central duplicates at the two opposite poles of the cells and nucleya memories start to disappear and chromosome look or appear pic with its sister chromatids
metaphase
in anaphase chromosomes with its sister chromatids are arranged in parallel to each other and centroid and centromere of the chromosome Get Connected by the spindle fibre
anaphase
spindle fibre separate system Emirates into two parts and each part is called as daughter chromosome
talophase
so are these daughter chromosome start to decondense and becomes threadlike again and they start to disappear and nuclear membrane also start to appear this process is followed by cytoplasmic division and two new cells are formed
