Conductors allow the electrons to pass through them. All metals are conductors.

Semi-conductors are those material which allow electrons to pass through them only under certain conditions. There are two types of semi-conductors:

● n-type semiconductors, and,

●p-type semiconductors.

Insulators are those materials which do not allow electrons at all to pass through them. Plastic and rubber are the most common examples of Insulators.
