kravikumar1913: ice have lower density compared to water because ice internal structure is cage like and there empty spaces filled with air so it floats on it it not depent on temperature
atharv9890: yep
atharv9890: i know that
kravikumar1913: ice doesn't have higer density than water but water displaced by it is equal to its weight so water apply a upthrust force on it so it float
atharv9890: ya
kravikumar1913: same volume object get equal upthrust no matter which type of substance they are i.e. matle, wood, etc.

ice have low density than water becasue its internal structure is cage like having empty spaces filled with air so it floats on water
it not depend on volume because water apply equal upthrust on equal volume no matter which type of substance i.e.matel or non metal it apply same upthrust on both substance with same volume

kravikumar1913: its my pleasure

ice floats on water because it has caged like structures inside as it has air Bubbles presents inside them and air has lower density as compared to liquid that's why ice floats on water ...

Hope it helps you...
