why do plants absorb a large quantity of water from the soil.?

for the growth of plant and body parts. after utilising will evaporate water.

because they prepare food from sunlight and water and they need more water.
transpiration is a natural process just like to drink water more and more because water is necessary for us but we also remove the waste off water like this plants remove there waste and this process is called transpiration.
