Math - An umbrella is made by stitching 10 triangular
pieces of two different colours, each piece measuring
20cm, 50cm and 50cm.
Mr. Amit wants to donate 20 such umbrellas to the
children of slum area.

(i) Find the cloth required for 20 such umbrella.​

area of cloth for one umbrella =

are of a triangle is √s(s-a×s-b×s-c)

s =20+50+50=120/2=60cm

√60(60-50×60-50×60-20)

√60(10×10×40)

3×2×5×2×5×2×5×2×2×5×2

by cancelling root we get:

√3×2×5×5×2×2

200√3cm×10

area of 20 umbrellas

200√3×10×20

2000√6cm²
