Question :

In a given figure, line PQ and RS intersect at point O. If angle 1 = 53° find the other angle.

Since PQ and RS are two lines intersecting each other, thus

∠1 = ∠3 ( vertically opposite angle )

∠2 = ∠4 ( vertically opposite angle )

Now,

∠1 = 53° = ∠3

Also,

∠1 + ∠2 = 180° ( Linear pair of angles )

∠2 = 180° - 53° = 127°

therefore, ∠4 = ∠2 = 127°
