Answer:

Q 1

1. b

2. a

3. b

4. c

5. d

Q2

1)

First find the degree of the third angle

let's take the third angle as y

50° + 70° + y = 180°

120° + y = 180°

y = 180° - 120°

y = 60°

Now,

A straight is always 180°

So,

60° + x = 180°

x = 180° - 60°

x = 120°

5) Altitude = an altitude of a triangle is the perpendicular drawn from a vertex to the opposite sides.

sorry, I don't know the others, and all the answers are right ✨

Q-1 Choose the correct option.

(1) Co-efficient of x in 3xy² is \sf\underline{3y²}.

➻ A coefficient is any number or quantity that is placed before a variable.

(2) -3y² and 4y³ are \sf\underline{unlike} terms.

➻ They are unlike terms as constant and the exponent are different in both the terms‎.

(3) A quantity which has a \sf\underline{fixed} numerical value is called a constant.

➻ Constant in a sense ‎means persistent in more simple terms it means continuous i.e., fixed.

(4) In an equilateral triangle, each angle has measure \sf\underline{60°}.

‎➻ In an equilateral triangle all the three sides as well as three angles are equal.

(5) In a right angled triangle, the side opposite to the right angle is called the \sf\underline{hypotenuse}.

Q-2 Do as directed.

(1) Given, Two angles are 50° and 70°

We know,

\sf\:Exterior~angle~=~Sum~of~interior~opposite~angles

\tt\leadsto\:x = (50 + 70)°

\tt\leadsto \small\red{\tt\pmb{x=120°}}

(2) x and y are the numbers.

⠀⠀Square of x is x² and that of y is y².

⠀ Sum of the squares of x and y,

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀\bf\::\implies\:x²+y²

(3) (a) -29x and -29y

They are \sf\:{Unlike~terms} as they have different variables.

⠀⠀(b) 1, 100

They are \sf\:{Like~terms} as both are constant, i.e., their values are fixed.

(4) Given expression, 5xy² + 7x²y

Terms in the expression, 5xy² and 7x²y

⠀⠀⠀⠀Factors in 5xy² \sf\:\twoheadrightarrow\:5 , x , y~and~ y.

⠀⠀⠀⠀Factors in 7x²y \sf\:\twoheadrightarrow\: 7 , x , x ~and~ y.

(5) (a) \sf\:Altitude : In simplier terms altitude means height. The distance between the base and the vertex in a triangle gives us the value of altitude.

⠀⠀(b) \sf\:Angle~sum~property~of~a~triangle : According to this the sum of all the angles in a triangle is equal to 180°.
