Given,

1.if the supplement of an angle is 130°then find its complement?

2. if the complement of an angle is 27 degree then find its supplement

3. find the measure of an angle which is

   a) twice its supplement

   b) four times its supplement

   c) equal to its supplement

To find,

The above questions.

Solution,

1) Let the supplement of an angle 130 be x , then

  x + 130° = 180°

  x = 180° - 130° = 50°

  Complement of 50° = 90° - 50° = 40°

2) Let the complement of an angle 27° be x , then

   x + 27° = 90

   x = 90° - 27° = 63°

   Supplement of 63° = 180° - 63° = 117°

3) i)Let one angle be x

     Twice of supplement angle = 2x

     So, x + 2x = 180°    ⇒ x = 60°

     Measure of angle twice its supplement = 2x = 120°

   ii) Let one angle be x

       Four times supplement angle = 4x

       So, x + 4x = 180°    ⇒ x = 36°

       Measure of angle four times its supplement = 4x = 144°

   iii) Let one angle be x

      Angle equal to its supplement angle = x

       So, x + x = 180°    ⇒ x = 90°

       Measure of angle equal to its supplement = 4x = 144°

Hence, (1) 50° is the complement of the supplement angle of 130°, (2) 117° is the supplement of the complement of 27°, (3) measure of an angle which is (i)twice its supplement is 120°, (ii) four times its supplement is 144° and (iii) equal to its supplement is 90°.

Answer:

117*

Step-by-step explanation:

let's supplement angle is x

complement angle is 27*

complementary is 90*

for supplementary angle

x= 27* + 90*

x=117*
