Math Question:
1) In a month, a man spent 40% of his income on food, 15% on education, 10 % on transportation, 15% on entertainment, 5% on miscellaneous expenditure. He saved the rest. If his saving are Rs 5000,
Find:
a) His monthly salary
b) Amount spend on food
c) Amount spend on transport
d) Amount spend on education

5000 is the amount saved after the expenditures.

let the income be X

therefore, (40+15+10+15+5)%

=85%

100-85%= 15%

15% of X=5000

(15/100)*X=5000

X= (5000*100)/15

X= 100000/3

X=33333.33......

a=33333.3333....

b=(4*33333.333)/10

c=33333.333/10

=3333.333

d=(15*1000)/3

=5000
