Answer:

m - 1/(m-2) = 6

subtracting 2 both sides we get ,

(m-2) - 1/(m-2) = 4

let (m-2) = x,

x - 1/x = 4

x² + 1/x² = (4)² + 2 = 18

so,

(m-2)² + 1/(m-2)² = 18 (Ans)

It's too simple

m - 1/(m-2) = 6

m-6 = 1/(m-2)

(m-2) - 4 = 1/(m-2)

(m-2) - 1/(m-2) = 4

Square both sides :-

(m-2)^2 + 1/(m-2)^2 - 2 = 16

(m-2)^2 + 1/(m-2)^2 = 2 + 16 = 18
