Step-by-step explanation:

FROM TRAPEZIUM ABCD

(AS WE KNOW THAT DIAGONALS OF TRAPEZIUM DIVIDES PROPORTINALLY)

SO, AO/OC=OB/OD

4/2X+4=X+1/4X-2

ON CROSS MULTIPLICATION

4(4X-2)=(X+1)(2X+4)

16X-8=X(2X+4)+1(2X+4)

16X-8=2X²+4X+2X+4

16X-8=2X²+6X+4

2X²+6X-16X+4+8=0

2X²-10X+12=0

2X²-6X-4X+12=0

2X(X-3)-4(X-3)=0

(2X-4)(X-3)=0

EITHER X IS 4/3 OR 3
