1 . 4x -2= 6

4x = 6+2

x = 8/4

x = 2

2. 3x/5 = -15

3x = -15*5

3x = -60

x = - 60 /3

x = - 20

  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

              Given data:-

              1)4x-2=6\\2)\frac{3x}{5} =-15\\3)-3x-4=-12x

              To find:- Value of the expression.

              Solution:-

  • Here we will use the transposition method.
  • Transposition is one of the linear equations.
  • To solve the transposition method we wi.ll Identify the variables and constants.
  • Then we Simplify the equation in LHS and RHS.

        we get,

                  1)4x-2=6\\=>4x=6+2\\=>4x=8\\=>x=\frac{8}{4} \\=>x=2.

                  2)\frac{3x}{5} =-15\\=>3x=-15\times5\\=>3x=-75\\=>x=-\frac{75}{3} \\=>x=-25

                 3)-3x-4=-12x\\=>-3 x=-12 x+4\\=>-3x+12x=4\\=>9x=4\\=>x=\frac{4}{9}

      Hence we will get the value (1)x=2,(2)x=-25,(3)x=\frac{4}{9} .
