mathew wants to sell laptops and smartphones. he wants to sell at least 12 devices and earn more than $4500. he earns $425 for every laptop he sells and $125 for every smartphone he sells. create 2 inequalities to represent this situation. If mathew sells 10 laptops, what is the minimum amount of smartphones he has to sell?

  2. When he had sold 10 laptops at the cost of $425 per laptop then the total amount he earned by selling 10 laptops. $425*10=$4250.
  3. Now the total amount which he have to earn. $4500-$4250=$250.
  4. And the cost of each smartphone is $125. And the amount more he want is $250.
  5. So the total number of smartphones he have to sell. $250÷$125=2.

Note : If he want to have money more than $4500 then he will have to sell more than 2 smartphones.
