3( x - 1 ) = 4 ( x - 5 )

→ (3 × x) - (3 × 1) = (4 × x) - (4 × 5)

→ 3x - 3 = 4x - 20

→ 3x - 4x = -20 + 3

→ -x = -17

→ x = 17
