multiply equation 1 and 2 by 4
16/x + 12 y= 56
9/x - 12y = 69
add equation 3 and 4 we get 16/x + 9/x = 125
25/ x = 125
25/125 = x
put x= 1/5 in
equation 1 we get
4/1/5+ 3y =14
20 + 3y = 14
3y= 14-20
y= -6/3
y =-2 ​
