A school hostel hasbenough food for 800 students for 80 days. After 5 days 50 students left the hostel.how much longer will the food last?

800 students 80 days inverse ratio (product is constant)
800 students consume
                                 5/80=1/16 part in 5 days 
 part remained =1/1-1/16
                      = 15/16 part.
student remained= 800-50=750
  800 students in 80 days
then 750 students in 800 days is
                                               =800*80/750
                                               =171/2 days
1 part in 171/2 days
15/16 part in 171/2 days=>
                                      171/2*15/16=80.16 days 
 therefore, the food last for 80.16 days
