Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • The manufacturer Makes a profit of = 25% .
  • The wholesale Dealer Makes a profit of = 20% .
  • The Retailer Makes a profit of = 28% .
  • Retailed Price = Rs.48 .

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • Cost of The Article ?

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Let us Assume That , The cost Price of the article is Rs.x .

Than,

The Retailer Buy it for = ( SP * 100 ) / (100 + P%)

→ Retailer CP = (48 * 100) / 128 = Rs.37.5

_____________

Now,

Retailer CP = wholesale Dealer SP .

So,

The wholesale Dealer But the article at = (37.5 * 100) / 120 = Rs.31.25 .

______________

Now,

The wholesale Dealer CP = The manufacturer SP .

So,

The original Cost Price of Article = (31.25 * 100) / 125 = Rs.25 (Ans).

Hence, The cost Price of The Article is Rs.25 .

Direct :-

Cost Price of Article = SP * (100 /100 + P1%) * (100 /100 + P2%) * (100 /100 + P3%)

→ Cost Price of Article = 48 * (100/125) * (100/120) * (100/128) = Rs.25 (Ans.)
