EXPLANATION.

If α, β, γ are the zeroes of the polynomial.

⇒ 2x³ - 6x² - 4x + 30.

As we know that,

Sum of the zeroes of the cubic polynomial.

⇒ α + β + γ = -b/a.

⇒ α + β + γ = -(-6)/2 = 3.

Products of the zeroes of the cubic polynomial two at a time.

⇒ αβ + βγ + γα = c/a.

⇒ αβ + βγ + γα = (-4/2) = -2.

Products of the zeroes of the cubic polynomial.

⇒ αβγ = -d/a.

⇒ αβγ = -(30)/2 = -15.

To find :

αβ + βγ + γα = -2.

Option [A] is correct answer.

MORE INFORMATION.

Conjugate roots.

(1) = If D < 0.

One roots = α + iβ.

Other roots = α - iβ.

(2) = If D > 0.

One roots = α + √β.

Other roots = α - √β.
