As we know,

Diagonal  \:  \:  \: of  \:  \:  \: square =  \sqrt{2} a = 10 \\  \\  = \sqrt{2}a   = 10 \\  \\  = a =  \frac{10}{ \sqrt{2} } =  \frac{10}{1.41421}  = 7.071  \\  \\  \\  \\  \\ perimeter \:  \: of \: square  = 4a \\  \\  \frac{4 \times 10}{ \sqrt{2} }  = \frac{40}{ \sqrt{2} }  =  \frac{40}{1.41421}  = 28.28434
