<b><i>Question 1.

Point :- (0,-3)
X cordinate = 0
Y cordinate = -3 (negative)
hence it will lie on the negative Y axis

Point :- (0,-8)
X cordinate = 0
Y cordinate = -8 (negative)
hence it will lie on the negative Y axis

Point :- (0,6)
X cordinate = 0
Y cordinate = 6 (positive)
hence it will lie on the positive Y axis

Point :- (0,4)
X cordinate = 0
Y cordinate = 4
hence it will lie on the positive Y axis

Question 2

Distance between points (0,-3) & (0,-8)

as we know that distance between two points
= \sqrt{ [(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}

then by putting value
 \sqrt{ {(0 - 0)}^{2} + {( - 8 - ( -3)) }^{2} }

= \sqrt{0+{( - 8 +3)}^{2} }
=  \sqrt{ 0 + {( -5)}^{2} }
=  \sqrt{ 0 + 25 }
= 5

And as X 1 = X2 = 0
hence distance |y2-y1|
