Applying distance formula
(0+7)^2 + (0-2)^2 under the root
49+4 under the root
53 under root

( -7,2 )

x1 = -7

x2 = 2

Distance between origin and point is

 \sqrt{ {x1}^{2}  +  {x2}^{2} }

 =  \sqrt{ {( - 7)}^{2} +  {2}^{2}  }   =  \sqrt{49 + 4}   =  \sqrt{53}

therefore, distance between origin and point ( -7,2 ) is root 53.
