Solution -

Here, let us find the slope of the line first.

Slope , m = ( y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)

> ( 10-6)/( 4-0)

> 4/4

> 1

This means that the line is at an angle of 45° wrt both the axes . ( tan 45 = 1)

Using the two point form equation of a line

y - y2 = m( x - x2);

> y - 10 = x - 4

> x - y + 6 = 0 .

This is the required answer.
