f(x) =2x² -3x + 7a

f(x)=0

2x² -3x + 7a = 0

2(2)²-3(2)+7a = 0

7a = 6 -8 = -2

a = - 2/7

Answer:

Given:

x=2 is a zero of the polynomial f(x)= 2x²-3x+7a

To find:

a

Solution:

f(x)= 2x²-3x+7a

\: \: \: \: \: \: f \: {(x)} \: \: = \: \: {0}

\: \: \: \: \: \: => \: \: {2x}^{2} \: + \: {3x} \: + \: {7a} \: \: = \: \: 0

\: \: \: \: \: \: => \: \: {2}{(2)}^{2} \: - \:  {3}{(2)} \: + \: {7a} \: \: = \: \: {0}

\: \: \: \: \: \:  => \: \: {8} \: - \: {6} \: + \: {7a} \: \: = \: \: {0}

\: \: \: \: \: \:  => \: \: {a} \: \: = \: \: \frac{-2}{7}
