16 = ( x + y + z ) / 3

16 × 3 = ( x + y + z )

48 = x + y + z

48 - x = y + z ---- : ( 1 )





Given, thrice the sum of y and z = 60

3( y + z ) = 60

48 - x = 60 / 3

48 - x = 20

48 - 20 = x

28 = x
