Answer:

Given Dimensions:

Height of Pillar = 35 m

Diameter = 56 cm => Radius = 28 cm = 0.28 m

CSA of one cylinder = 2πrh

⇒ CSA = 2 × 22 / 7 × 0.28 × 35

⇒ CSA = 44 × 0.28 × 5 = 61.60 m²

Therefore one cylinder has 61.60 m², then 16 cylinders would have ?

⇒ 16 cylinders CSA = 16 × 61.60 m² = 985.60 m²

Cost for 1 m² is Rs. 5.50, then for 985.60 m² it is:

⇒ 985.60 × 5.50 = Rs. 5420.8

Hence it would cost Rs. 5420.8 for painting 16 cylinders.

Hope it helps !!
