Concept and basics of rounding a number:
How to round a number?
It's simple!
If the number 524 is given to round to the nearest tens you have to see the last digit if it is smaller than 5
the number 524 is below 5 so it means it is rounded off to 520
If the number is 5 and above like for example 650 or 980
650 is rounded off to 700 and 980 is rounded off to 1000
Rounding off hundreds is also easy
The number 590 is given and you got to round off to the nearest hundreds.
Remember, you have to see the second digit if it is 5 and above even if it is asked to round off to thousands ten thousands any number.
590 is rounded to 600 because second digit is 9 which is greatest
Note: You can't round off a number like for example 280 is asked to round off to the nearest thousands
It is not possible because the number is a 3 digit and you can't round off to a 4 digit.
And ya that are the answers and explanations.
