To stitch a uniform skirt 2m . 10cm cloth is needed out of 35cm 35cm, how many skirts can be stitched and how much cloth will remain​

Cloth required to stitch a skirt = 2 m 10 cm

We need to convert m to cm

1 m = 100 cm

2 m = 200 cm

200 + 10 = 210 cm

Available cloth = 35 m

Again convert m to cm

So it will be 35 m will 3500 cm

Now 1 skirt requires 210 cm of cloth

Therefore in 3500 cm of cloth 3500/210 = 16 skirts can be made.

Again we need to find remaining cloth, so multiply by 16 skirts.

So 210 x 16 = 3360

Now remaining cloth 3500 – 3360 = 140 cm

16 skirts can be stitched and 140 cm of cloth remain unused.
