   polynomial this is because its power is in fraction.

2.  √+1 is not a polynomial because

  • P(x) = √+ 1 consists of constants only. Polynomials contain variable like x terms, hence P(x) is not a polynomial.
  • If we express p(x) in terms of power it would be 1^(1/2) but as we know polynomials have natural numbers in powers.
  • If we will simplify P(x) = √+ 1, then p(x) = 1 i.e., a constant itself.
