• A family tree is typically used to display the relationships between family members.  A family tree, or genealogical tree, is defined as a map or diagram composed of a collection of family lines.  A family tree can also be thought of as a tree or diagram depicting the family history that links present family members with their ancestors.
• I will present three different type of family trees based on my family relations i. one - one relation, ii. one - many relation and iii. many - many relation. I will use the family tree as a framework to analyse the family relationship and how they impact each other.
• A single family tree can be created for a single family; each branch is a family member and each node is a common ancestor.  The branch width may indicate the number of descendants.
• A many-to-many relationship (also known as a family group) is a type of social group in which two or more families are in relationship. A member of a family group may be a blood relative, an adoptive family member, or an individual who has entered into a personal relationship with a family member. A family group may have its own social and cultural traditions, and may have its own social structure and customs.
