area of abcd is 30x20=500sq.cm

p,q,r and s are mid points so

AP=10cm=BR=CR=DP

AQ=15cm=BQ=DS=CS

so by pythagoras theorom

(AQ)^2 + (AP)^2 = (PQ)^2

(15)^2 + (10)^2 = (PQ)^2

225 + 100 = (PQ)^2

325 =(PQ)^2

PQ = root 325

PQ=18=SR=RQ=SP

area of PQRS = (18)^2

                      = 325sq.cm
