Question:-

A man borrowed Rs.30000 from Punjab National Bank to buy a tractor. Find the amount he would pay after 2(1/2) years at 17% per annum.

Required Answer:-

Given,

\\\sf{\rightarrow{Principle \:amount \:\bold{P} = Rs.30000}}

\sf{\rightarrow{Time \:\bold{T} = 2  \frac{1}{2}\:years}}

\sf{\rightarrow{Rate \:of\:interest\:\bold{R} = 17\% =  \frac{17}{100} = 0.17 }}\\\\

To Find:-

\\\sf{\rightarrow{The\:amount\:\bold{A}\:he\:would\:pay}}\\\\

Solution:-

We know that,

\\\underline{\boxed{\rm{\bold{\blue{Simple\:interest = P \times T \times R}}}}}\\\\

According to the question:-

\\\sf{Simple\:interest = Rs.(30000 \times 2 \frac{1}{2}  \times 0.17)}

\\\sf{\implies{Simple\:interst = Rs.(30000 \times  \frac{5}{2}  \times 0.17)}}

\\\sf{\implies{Simple\:interest = \bold{Rs.12750}}}\\\\

Now,

\\\underline{\boxed{\bold{\blue{Amount = P + SI}}}}\\\\

\\\sf{\therefore{\bold{Amount} = Rs.(30000 + 12750)}}

\\\sf{\implies{\bold{Amount} = \red{Rs.42750}}}

\\\\\boxed{\rm{\green{Hence,\:he\:have \: to \:pay \:\bold{ Rs.42750}}}}\\
