If a,b belongs to N and R is "a is a divisor of b", then R is a relation on N.

  • Given,
  • a,b belongs to N
  • R is "a divisor of b"
  • Let,
  • A={1,3,5}
  • B={6,8,10}
  • Now,
  • A×B= {(1,8), (3,6), (5,10)}
  • where a = 1,3,5, b = 6,8,10 ∈ N
  • and
  • A×B ∈N
  • and R {a is a divisor of b}
  • Hence, it is proved that R is a relation on N
