If a,b belongs to N and R is "a is a divisor of b", then R is a relation on N.
- Given,
- a,b belongs to N
- R is "a divisor of b"
- Let,
- A={1,3,5}
- B={6,8,10}
- Now,
- A×B= {(1,8), (3,6), (5,10)}
- where a = 1,3,5, b = 6,8,10 ∈ N
- and
- A×B ∈N
- and R {a is a divisor of b}
- Hence, it is proved that R is a relation on N
