Given that tenth term= 5 and 5th term=10.

Now,

a+9d=5.... (1) and a+4d=10....... (2)

Applying elimination method we get:

5d= -5

Thus d = -1

Now put the value of d(common difference) into eq. 1 and 2:

a+9(-1) =5

a-9=5

a=14....... (3)

Also we need to prove that 15th term is zero.

thus,

a+ 14 d {a is 14 and d is -1}

=14+ 14(-1)

=14-14

= 0

Hence proved.
