Maths(Triangles) - CLASS X

In an equilateral triangle ABC, D is a point on side BC such that BD = BC/3. Prove that 9AD^2 = 7 AB^2.

Things to remember while solving this type of questions :-




1) If we can't see a right angle in the figure, we should always make a perpendicular line ( 90° ) to one of the sides of a triangle. By this way , we can use Pythagoras Theorem to solve the further problem.




2) We should learn to connect one things with another  .




3) We should know how to eliminate the terms which we do not need in our answer by substituting them with other values.
