Relation:
A relation between two sets is a collection of ordered pairs containing oneobject from each set. If the object[math]x[/math]is from the firstset and the object[math]y[/math]is from the second set, then the objects are said to be related if the ordered pair[math](x,y)[/math]is in the relation.
Function:”
A relation canhave sameRange(output)mapped by differentDomain(input)butone domaincan map onlyone range”
.Afunctionis a type of relation. But, a relation is allowed to have the object[math]x[/math]in the first set to be related tomore than one object in the second set. Soa relation may not be represented byafunction machine, because, giventhe object[math]x[/math]to the input of the machine, the machine couldn't spit out a unique output object that is paired to[math]x[/math].
For example:
Linear Eqn , Half Circle Eqn,Exponential Eqn etc areFunction
