Answer:

It is true that contentment in one's life is véry important to lead a peaceful life. We should be happy with what we have and should not crave for what we don't have. Matilda suffered in her life because she was not satisfied with what life has given to her. She was a pretty lady born as though an error of destiny into the family on clerk. She was a beautiful lady and married with an honest man. He was rich in value but monetarily moderate. Matilda was not content with his salary and job. She wanted to live a luxurious life, which he could not afford. Once she got an opportunity to attend a High profile party but she didn't have any good dress or jewel. So she borrow a diamond necklace from his friend Mme. Forestier. She lost that necklace in the party and had to suffer a lot, just to repay for it. She had to ruin her long 10 years. Her over ambition of craze for luxury ruined her life. One must be satisfied with what we have is the lesson from this story.
